Hi everyone. I figured I'd come in and introduce myself. I'm Serenity and I returned to the game a month ago. I was happily showing dogs as a basic kennel for a while there and had so much fun showing my first Mal female that I decided to upgrade and try my hand at breeding them. I got my first litter this morning and immediately I'm faced with something of a dilemma. I got this boy in the litter and I think he's show quality:

www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14383940

The problem I'm having is trying to choose which of these 2 females is better.

www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14383941

I'm inclined to say the second one, but I figured I'd ask the experts in here before I make any rash decisions happy :)

Oh and wtg Drake! I saw one of your dogs took BIS today, YAY!

Thanks Xi-Chi and again, welcome to the breed. happy :) Hope you are having fun; find it odd that no one came onto here and welcomed you though.

Sorry I wasn't here to help you choose between your pups, I was away all weekend or I would have. Looks like you got some really nice ones though, so congrats. ^^

Welcome Xi-Chi. I would pick the second dog in my opinion. Congratulations on the nice dogs and good luck with them!

Hi all, I have a lovely 96.65 up for sale, I'm sure she would finish. I just don't have the room for her and would have to FH her otherwise

Oh hey, that's a pretty girl there. Congrats!

I had a litter born this morning that was all girls! Crazy, right? I've seen this in the past when I worked with dogs that have maybe 3 or 4 dogs in a litter, but never in larger litters. This was a total of 7 puppies - all female! Has anyone else seen this?

I didn't get anything much to jump up and down about, but I did get one little girl that is the highest SOP I have bred to date. She's not record breaking, but I was excited to see her there.

Wow, it’s been to long since I looked at this tread, been so busy, but really need to drop in more. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you HWK, I hadn’t realized that you asked me a question. -.-‘ Anyway, I evaluated your extremely handsome boys:

Shadow Dancing rates 12.0 and Dancing Shadows rates 11.75

Also, whoa, 97%! Looks like all your trait breeding paid off Mccloud, huge congrats! I’m just sorry it took me so long to see this. ^^ Mals have broken 97%, that’s just awesome. So much progress so rapidly. laugh :D And to think this dog would have had even higher SOP. O.o She also blows away every other rating I’ve seen to date with a chart busting 12.3! This is going to be the dog to beat for sure, the slightly low showshine will only effect this dog slightly, not enough to matter.

I’ve had that happen before Xi-Chi, having an all same gender litter. It’s not common, but it does happen. That girl will be easy to finish, may not be record breaking, but still exceptional. happy :)

Would anyone be interested in these two dogs by the way, I’d really hate to FH them and was quite surprised they haven’t sold:

www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14387240
96.55%/20ss bitch, red and white, 11.75 rating Exceptional AAA show prospect $100

www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14387242
96.75%/20ss dog, red and white, 11.85 rating Supreme show prospect $100

Surely someone wants these pups?

The end of the month has come around again, and that means it’s time for new averages:

Head: 9.8 +1
FQ: 9.5 +1
HQ: 9.2 +1
Gait: 10.3 +0
Tnb: 9.2 +0
Coat: 9.6 +0
Size: 9.8 +0
Temp: 9.6 +0
Feet: 9.6 +1

This trend of improvements is continuing forward quite nicely, the breed is now improving at a bullet’s pace. happy :) Great job everyone, all our trait breeding and balance breeding is paying off in a big way now; I knew it was only a matter of time. ^^ Mals have now reached 97% and will no doubt surpass that soon, lot’s of exciting dogs coming to the ring this month should make next month’s averages even more interesting. happy :)

Anyway, the new ring average is 96.25% and the formulaic average increases to 10.8, don’t forget to adjust your dog’ rating accordingly.

Man you guys have sure been quite lately, I mean I have been too, but still… miss seeing updates from you, and I wonder what happened to CS, haven’t seen them for ages now; hope nothing has happened to them. sad :(

I've been busy lately but I have been turning out some great Mals. The rest of my breeds are a bit dry at the moment but I'm doing good here. razz :p

This 96.90 guy just went up for stud at $100 (he isn't titled yet but he will be soon lol):
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14352348

I also got three more 96.90s recently. They're all sessioning at the moment and I look forward to getting them in the ring. happy :)

Great to see that the breed is moving forward! I'm hoping to break that 97% soon, congrats to Mccloud on that gorgeous girl! laugh :D

Aw not you too SKL sad :(, seems so many are leaving these days; at least you will be coming back though, don't stay away for too long. I will go have a look at your dogs, I hope most of them find homes as you have put so much work into your lines and it would be a shame to lose that. Also, hope you don't stay away for too long. Until next time then, best of luck going forward. happy :)

ETA: I bought one of you're lovely ladies, can't take many more dogs on at thins time, but will def grab others if no one else does, because letting most of these dogs waste would be a shame.

Congrats on all your awsome dogs Whitestar, looks like you have a very sucessful program running. happy :)

Huge congrats to you on that gorgeous girl Makavelis! Don't worry about her showshine, it shouldn't have any noticeable effect and she will do awesome. ^^

Congrats to Rocky as well, wow look at all the 97% dogs coming out now. happy :) I need to catch up with you guys. ^^

I got a 97% of my own this morning! wink ;)
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14448256

Also, I just put a girl of Rosa Nera's up for sale at $100:
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14251464
I originally bought her to start up my line but now I have so many pups out of her that it's getting quite ridiculous haha. She's a gorgeous girl (96.80% SOP) and has been an absolutely fabulous producer (mother of the 97% mentioned above!) and I hate to see her go but I don't want all my pups out of the same line lol. Hopefully somebody can provide a good home for her. laugh :D

And final thing, these two boys just went up for stud (one that I bought from SKL and the other from me):
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14368392 [96.95%, $100]
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14373547 [96.75%, $50]
Neither are titled yet but I'm working on it, I'm just waiting for that show obedience to get up before they hit the ring~

Hi all i have a few 96.60 - 96.70's up for sale at the moment, all with the 'buy now' option available. My sub runs out soon and given my current circumstances I don't think I'll be renewing unfortunately. However I will still keep my BC kennel going for now (Clay Creek Falls)

Did you know?
In multi-breed and all-breed shows, the winners of all breeds within the kennel club's breed Groups then compete for Group placements.
