R and B Kennels

Welcome to my kennel, home of many happy, well-loved and shiny Beagles. My lines are completely original, with all of my current dogs' pedigrees consisting entirely of source or homebred dogs, at any level (i.e. all pedigree generations). Good temperament is a strong trait in this kennel, as is high show shine; usually there are only one or two non-retired dogs in my kennel with a show shine trait under 20.

I am the proud breeder of the first four 20 SS Beagles ever bred by a user.

~ General ~

10 January 2008: After a long hiatus, I'm finally breeding R and B beagles again.

~ New Blood ~

October 2007: A while ago I reclaimed R and B Michael Jackson www.showdog.com/Users/dog_info.aspx?name=R%20and%20B%20Michael%20Jackson
whose dark blues will add much-needed old blood to my current dogs' lines.

10 February 2006: John at Huntsmead allowed me to breed to his source dog, Huntsmead William Wallace, which enabled me to add some more new genes to the R and B pool. Thanks John.

11 January 2006: another user created an excellent source bitch for me, R and B Restart, who will help dilute the R and B gene pool and contribute to improving coat and feet in my lines. Watch this space.

~ Retirement ~

9 July 2005: today I retired my very first source dog, who has been with me since I joined SD, CH Mister E. At over 700 days' old he is ready for a rest. Mister E definitely made my kennel what it is today, I couldn't have done any of it without him.

~ For Sale or At Stud ~

It's very rare for me to have puppies and/or adults for sale or at stud. Prices are high as a result of the cost of maintaining an independent line, and you can be assured that the product is unique! The dogs and I really appreciate good homes. All subscription types ('basic'/'standard'/'family') are welcome! I have no prohibitive 'sales policies'; once you have purchased a dog from me it is yours to do with it as you will. Of course I love to place my dogs in show homes and I am very grateful when people show them. I am available for advice or news or whatever kind of assistance I can provide for owners of my dogs.

~ Change of Theme ~

As of 10 January 2004 puppies will be prefixed with R and B (or RnB if I'm stuck for name space). We are still the same dogs, we just ran out of names in the old Ms/Mr theme. It had to happen some time.
