I'm working on Field Trials and Hunt Tests and need input with anyone more familiar with them than me.

Do you compete in Hunt Tests and Field Trials at the same time?

Or do you choose which "atmosphere" you and your dog prefer? Hunt Test vs Field Trial (I guess like Obedience vs Rally??)

or do you get your Hunt Test titles and then move on to Field Trials?
(I'm pretty sure it's not the last option because eligibility starts at 6 months for both.)

Basically would you enter both Hunt Tests AND Field Trials in a 6 month time frame... or would it be one sport or the other, not both?

I don't and never have competed, but this article seems to explain the difference in a simple manner.

I'll see what else I can come up with too

Did you know?
The two largest American dog shows after Westminster are the National Dog Show (which is televised on Thanksgiving Day by NBC, usually after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade) and the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.
