Now it's really cold, becouse it's winter. Especially last two weeks were very cold (-20'C, dunno what it's in Fahrenheits). We don't have so much snow here southern Finland, just some 20 centimeters, but in Lapland (north, veeeery up there) they usually have much more. I don't no how this should be said, but maybe one meter high?

In here summer is very warm, almost hot (from +20'C up to over +30'C). So we do not live in iglus or something, and you can wear T-shirts and shorts. wink ;)

Maybe I can show you something? (Almost every photo I have taken includes dogs and I don't have much landscape-pictures, but maybe you get the point from these. I hope. wink ;))

Let's start with the winter.

These are from Kerava (that's the city where I live.) First one is from this winter, second one from last year. My dog is a Standard Schnauzer, so with that information, you can take a look and see how much we have snow here.

This one is from this Christmas, 25.12.2005. (From Kerava, also.)

Just couple of weeks ago I took this:
i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/ninalle/SD/balticsea_ice.jpg
It's from Baltic Sea, which is covered by ice every winter. Same place looks like this in summer:
i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/ninalle/SD/balticsea_summer.jpg

And now, let's head to the summer.

i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/ninalle/SD/flowers_field.jpg
i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/ninalle/SD/summer_field.jpg

It's bright and sunny. wink ;)

And the mountains.. In Finland, we don't have those. We have these.. fjelds? (Does anyone have a better word for that?)
They are just like wery big hills. Most famous one is Korvatunturi, that's the place were Santa Claus lives. laugh :D

i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/ninalle/SD/finnish_fjeld.jpg

But up there, at the borderline (Norway-Finland-Sweden), they have some mountains. Or, if I may say, Norwegians have.

i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/ninalle/SD/lapland_borderline.jpg
This one is from the borderline.

i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/ninalle/SD/lapland_norway2.jpg
i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/ninalle/SD/lapland_norway.jpg
And these are from Norway.

In Lapland, there lives some nice animals, too. wink ;)
i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/ninalle/SD/reindeer_lapland.jpg

Now I don't have any pictures left (as if wink ;)), so my lecture is over. But ask for more! I'm sure the others have something to say. happy :)

(And I'm sure this post is fulled with typing errors. wink ;))

Did you know?
The figure 8 exercise requires the team to heel in a figure 8 pattern either on or off leash. Generally two of the ring stewards will assist the judge with this exercise by acting as "posts", standing 8 feet apart, that the team walks around to form the loops of the figure 8.
