Other than doing and attaining obedience titles, what is the point of keeping the retired dogs and bitches?

It's a preference thing... I keep all of the dogs who have earned their GCH title for prestige.

I keep the ones who have awards of merit (bronze/silver etc) or who have beaten a large number of dogs or gotten several BIS.

It's to simulate real life. There are some dogs you get too attached to even if it's a game. And as someone previously said it's a prestige thing, anyone viewing your kennel page can see them, so usually breeders keep their highest achievers.

Well. Since I'm a basic. I can't have too many dogs, but I would like to have a couple of show age dogs.
