So for quite some time I've been working on improving the FQ trait in Kooikerhondjes. Back when I started most of the FQs in the breed were in the high 11 range (11.5-11.9)

I've been steadily working my way towards 10.0 FQ over the months, and have currently got a large number of 10.5, 10.4, 10.3 and 10.2 FQs.

Last week a puppy arrived in the whelping box with a nice little surprise! My first ever 10.1 FQ !!

Introducing - 'Dalkeiths - 10.1 FQ - Genesis'

Obviously his SS and SOP are nothing to shout about - but I'm still stoked!

The SOPs of my other FQs are:

10.5: 94.95 - 95.40

10.4: 94.75 - 95.75

10.3: 94.80 - 95.35

10.2: 93.05 - 94.95

Very much still a work in progress happy :)

Well today has been an amazing day for my FQ project!!

My lovely boy Genesis (10.1FQ) was paired up with a 10.3FQ (If It Isnt Love) and they had a fantastic litter!

Introducing my very first 10.0 FQs and 9.8 FQ pups!

Alastor:

10.0 FQ and 10.0 Head

SS: 15.9 SOP: 92.90/94.95

Ares:

10.0 FQ and 10.0 Head

SS: 16.0 SOP: 93.25/95.25

Apollo:

9.8 FQ and 10.0 Head

SS: 20 SOP: 94.80

I'm in absolute awe of the 10.0s!!! But I was also shocked to see a 9.8 FQ - since we've never had any FQs in the 0-9.9 range! (They've always been in the 10.0-20 range)

Did you know?
The sit for exam is a modified version of the Stand for Exam. It is generally used in novice level classes and requires the handler to order the dog to sit and then to move away from the dog the length of the leash. The judge will then approach the dog and pet the dog's head.
