Hi, I am just starting this thread for Norwegian Elkhound breeders.

For:
Show brags
Breeding news, views and ideas such as:
High SOP, and new improvement in traits.
New studs available with best traits and strength
Stock for sale, puppies, studs and broodies.

Since I started this I am going to post my brag -- a very nice puppy bitch arrived a day or so ago. 95.60 SOP, Fair head, but I like her Coat and size.

Thanks for Wyvern for the use of the sire & Charisma who bred mum.

Don't know if anyone is interested -- I started this thread quite some time ago. I decided to "bump" it now we have a good number of breeders involved in the breed.

Just in case anyone wants to swap news about new trait gains, studs going up for use, pups or broodies available, requests ....... and of course, any brags.

To start things going, I have just had some nice trait gains, with a 9.8 size, 9.7 hindquarter and 10.2 gait, to add to 10.3 feet, which arrived a little while ago. Not widespread through my lines yet, but I am hoping to keep these new traits going.

I will stop by this thread often!

I’m not breeding for any particular traits at the moment though I’m trying to work most of my stock down to 10.1 coat. happy :)

My 97.60 boy recently went up for stud for anybody who wants to visit him:

He finished sessioning today so I’m looking forward to more success in the show ring for him. happy :)

Additionally my 97.50 boy will be up for stud at $25 in around 4 days:

I believe they’re the two high SOPs of the breed so I’m hoping they’ll produce well. laugh :D

One of my girls has already had visit wink ;)

I think you have the highest SOP. My highest is a 97.35 boy,

although I have got a low SS boy who would work out at 97.40 SOP

I have a nice little bitch pup (Kjelvik Irish Eyes) from Fury Eye of God:

97.55 SOP - my highest SOP to date

And I have a new high trait in forequarters - 9.7.
