Hello. New here, and just trying to find my way around the ropes.

I read both the guides, but I cannot seem to figure out if there is any benefit at all to training your dog in the obidience tasks?

And does the top kennel reset each month? Or is there a monthly top kennel page (so everyone might have a chance even though you might not have been on the game for 10 years ??)

And is top kennel only influenced by dogs bred or also by the dogs shown even though they come from another breeder than yourself?

Thanks,

-----

Unless you want to participate in obedience trials, you do not have to train beyond show obedience, muscle tone, and coat condition. You can toggle obedience options off here:

No, this is based on cumulative win statistics which you can see here for your kennel under Prestige Impacts: https://www.showdog.com/users/prestige.aspx

You do not have to be a long term player to rise on the Top Kennels list. Just pick a breed that places in show and group placements a whole lot!

Everything - bred by and owned champions as well as breed, group, and show wins.

Did you know?
Judges are generally certified to judge one or several breeds, usually in the same group, but a few "all-breed" judges have the training and experience to judge large numbers of breeds.
