I played this game years and years ago, and just started again. Obedience is new, and I can’t really find much info (I keep getting error pages when I search).
I have some pretty basic questions. What commands does your dog need to know for each level? Does the dog need to have good scores for conformation training/grooming?
Thanks

For Novice, you should have these obedience traits fully sessioned:

Heel on Leash (HoL)
Figure 8
Heel Free
Recall
Long Sit
Long Down

For Open (i.e. once your dog earns his CD), you should have these fully sessioned:

Drop on Recall
Retrieve on Flat
Retrieve over High Jump
Broad Jump

For Utility (once your dog earns the CDX title):

Signal Exercise
Scent Discrimination
Directed Retrieve
Moving Stand for Exam
Directed Jumping

Additionally, your dog should have "Show Obedience" fully sessioned.

Conformation show results have no impact on Obedience results.

Did you know?
A specialty show is a dog show which reviews a single breed, unlike other dog shows, particularly conformation shows, which are generally referred to as "all-breed" because they are open to all breeds recognized by the sponsoring kennel club.
