Is there a glitch related to no handler all breeds? It looks like folks sponsoring Golden specialties are accidently sponsoring no handler all breeds instead of specialties.

I'm seeing specialties in other breeds having names like they were intended for Goldens. And also it makes me wonder why in numerous occasions I've sponsored specialties in a certain breed, even enetered my dogs, but then no specialty actually ran and I received an admin message that there were 0 entries!

It's really confusing. I tend to stay away from those shows.

Yeah, if your show doesn't get 10 entries the show is cancelled.

And that 10-entry show rule has lapsed - I've had specialties run all the time with less than 10 entries.

I must admit that I thought that the 10 entry rule had been removed but I can’t find it in the forums.

I believe the 10 rule was lifted for specialties some time ago (2 or 3 years at least). I imagine it might still apply to all breeds but fewer than 10 in an all breed just doesn't really happen. I don't believe it ever applied to the breed nationals but I could be wrong.

Did you know?
Judges are generally certified to judge one or several breeds, usually in the same group, but a few "all-breed" judges have the training and experience to judge large numbers of breeds.
