Why do people put Pups up for sale, and then refuse to sell them? I understand that some breeders want to control who takes on a well bred pup, but the breeder is showing the pup so obviously isn't ready to sell.

Any ideas?

Maybe they're for sale as kind of a money transfer. Or, they want them to go to someone who is already established in the breed. Or they are transferring dogs to another account. Some don't sell to basic accounts. There are so many different answers and everyone's answer might be different. The easiest way to fin out is to just ask them.

Did you know?
A conformation dog show is not a comparison of one dog to another but a comparison of each dog to a judge's mental image of the ideal breed type as outlined in the individual breed's breed standard.
